Hello there! My name is Billy Bear.
I live in the beautiful Michigan woods. I'm a brown bear, and I absolutely love every season here in the forest. I was born in the cold winter, but that doesn't mean I only love snowflakes and ice! I enjoy the blooming flowers of spring, the sunny days of summer, and the colorful leaves of autumn just as much. There's something magical about every season, don’t you think?
I'm five years old, and I'm super curious about the world around me. My best friend is a golden retriever named Toby. Toby and I do everything together. He’s always by my side, whether we're exploring the woods, playing, or just lounging in our cozy den. Toby is not only my buddy but also the best listener when I share stories or read books.
Speaking of stories, I absolutely love learning new things and sharing what I learn with all my forest friends. You see, I think learning is super fun! That’s why I created a place where everyone can discover new things with me. It’s called Billy Bear’s Playground, and it’s filled with games, stories, and lots of cool stuff to learn about.
Oh, and let me tell you about my favorite snacks! I adore munching on apples. They’re crunchy, sweet, and just perfect for nibbling while I read a good book. And even though I love honey, I always make sure to stay away from the bees. They’re important little workers who make our forest bloom, but they don't like it when you get too close to their hives! It's a love-hate relationship. I also enjoy the sound they make as they buzz around me.

Hoot hoot! My name is Dr. Howell.
I go to school during the week, and my teacher is the wise Dr. Howell. She’s an owl who knows everything about the forest and beyond. She tells us amazing stories about the stars, the animals, and all the plants. She went to school for a very long time! I love listening to her and learning new things!
One day, Dr. Howell gave us a special project: to create a story or lesson to share with our class. I decided to make a workbook all about bees and a hive of activities. I wanted to show how they help flowers grow and give us delicious honey. It was so much fun creating it, and my friends loved learning about bees too! They clapped and cheered, and Dr. Howell said I did a great job. That made me feel really proud. When I'm not learning or sharing stories, you can find me in the meadow chasing butterflies. They’re so colorful and pretty! I also love swinging high into the sky on the playground. The breeze through my fur and the feeling of flying makes me giggle with joy!
Every day in the forest is an adventure, and there’s always something new to discover. With Toby by my side and all my friends in the forest, I’m never bored. Whether it’s learning about the stars, playing in the snow, or simply enjoying a juicy apple, life here is full of fun and excitement.
